Giachi Primolio Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The Giachi family firm is located in the hills of Mercatale Val di Pesa in the Florentine part of the Chianti Classico zone. Produced from a blend of Frantoio, Moraiolo and a small percentage of Leccino, Maurino, and Pendolino olives all hand-picked within the first ten days of November. 

Medium bodied fruit, grassy aroma, with a peppery finish.

Serving suggestion: wonderful for finishing meats, soups, or bread dipping

Molino la Condesa Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Tasting Notes: An elevated food service EVOO, Molino la Condesa has a soft taste, with hints of almonds and apple. Its aroma is reminiscent of fresh grass. This EVOO is slightly pungent with a light heat.

Recommendations: Use for finishing fish, salads, vegetables, and cheeses. With its soft flavor it is great for use on fish, in baking, desserts and ice cream. Try sautéing to add complexity without overwhelming delicate dishes.

Producer Information: Grown and produced by the Garcia Casas Family in Granada, Spain, makers of O-Med early harvest EVOO. The pits of the olives are incinerated, powering 40% of the mill’s energy needs.

Item of the Day: OMED Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil

OMED Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil

This early harvest EVOO is grown and produced by millmaster Juan de Dios Garcia Casas in Granada, Spain. The pits of the olives are incinerated, powering 40% of the mill’s energy needs.

Tasting Notes: The arbequina aroma is reminiscent of green banana with hints of green apple. The aromas follow through to the palate, recognizing the astringency of the green banana and even a slight nuttiness of green almond. The arbequina has a soft finish, but still a bit of pepper at the end.


Recommendations: Perfect to finish delicate fish dishes. It works on all kind of salads and vinaigrettes and adds flavor without overpowering dressings or aioli. O-Med arbequina EVOO is very recommendable for baking and desserts, including olive oil ice cream.
