Cookin' in the Bluegrass

Kentucky’s favorite chefs will be working side by side with the James Beard Foundation and celebrity chefs from around the United States during the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, which will feature eight world championships in equestrian sport at Lexington’s Kentucky Horse Park from September 25 through October 10, 2010.

Cookin’ in the Bluegrass: A Celebrity Chef Dinner Series, will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Farmhouse restaurant during the 16 nights of the 2010 Games. Each night, 80 guests will enjoy dining experiences that replicate the sumptuous dinners held at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City. Click here to learn more.

New Warehouse in 2011!

Creation Gardens is thrilled to announce that we have a settlement with the Highway Bridges Project that will allow us to build a new state-of-the-art warehouse in Downtown Louisville (NULU District) at the corner of Market and Shelby Streets.

Exterior

Superior Quality - with the latest cooler and food handling/tracking technologies. Lower Operating Costs - with efficient warehouse layout and state-of-the-art equipment.

Expanded Chef Showroom/Public Retail - gives advantage of additional revenue streams to keep costs low. New Product Offerings - meat, seafood, wines, breads...with emphasis on local and regional food.

Downtown Location - to continue excellent service capabilities in distribution and help grow a food district in NULU.

Funds from the settlement of the Ice division will be reinvested in Produce operations. Early budgets suggest we can add some amenities that will help you and your restaurant succeed:

  • Demo Kitchen that will allow you to promote your restaurant, educate customers and perform menu research.
  • Library and Resource area for menu planning and research - complete with cook books, the latest trade publications, and internet access. Located in balcony section.
  • Public Conference Room where you can host meetings or educational sessions. Chefs Special Entrance that gives you quick access to our purchasers, customer service reps and pick-up dock.
  • We Will Host Regular Meetings to allow chefs from all of our regions to exchange ideas and become more successful restaurateurs.
